It took me like 20 tries to get over the last boss. Spent ages on the first few enemies and bosses but once it ’s fucking art. I tried playing it like DS and BB at first and hated it. Sekiro: these muthafuckas done it again! A few changes of a perfect formula and they have made a completely different gameplay style. Overall I think it was a great game and improved upon a lot of the technical faults of DS1. It kept fucking with me coz some enemies you gotta deal with like you’re playing DS1 and others like BB. I’m not sure if this is due to the art or just the clarity in better geaphixsīut gone was the weight of dark souls and it seems like a blend of DS1/BB. The enemies however look goofy as hell and not intimidating like the other 2 games. The character creator looked the same as DS1 graphically despite this being on a different gen but once you get into the world you can see where the effort went. It was jarring going from 60fps DS to this but I adjusted in no time.ĭark souls 3: back to da souls muthafucka. World is beautiful, enemy design is horribly beautiful and it’s thematically consistent. You feel so naked without your shield at first but once it clicks, you’re hopping around like Ryu from ninga gaiden and when you throw in the gun to stun enemies.beautiful. I got it at launch and loved it but stopped at the boss that keeps running away from you (which I’m surprised to find out is near the end of the game!).
This is something every game after has failed to recapture.īloodborne: I wanted more of souls and ordered dark souls 3 but it was taking too long to get here so I started a new play through of BB.
You can feel every step and swing of the blade. My favorite thing about this game is the weight of every movement. I loved demon souls at launch and thought that was the pinnacle but they took it to the next level here. Enemy encounters, world design, ’s crazy to think they pulled it off. Playing the remaster reaffirms that it is one of the greatest games of all time.
